There has been a plethora of blogs about research over the past few months. The problem is, most of them are written by people who have little or no idea what good research looks like. It is clear from their writing that they think this and that they have just jumped on the research bandwagon. Many people have tried to discredit research in education. This is an absolute folly. I have read some incredibly bad blogs that essentially say: “research is useful, but….” I hope this can be useful in guiding people through the minefield of good and bad educational research.
