Froch-Groves, boxing and education

It’s the Carl Froch-George Groves fight on Saturday, and it is safe to say I am excited about it. What excites me most is the fact that both fighters are coming to win and SO much is at stake. For Froch, his career legacy is on the line. He has built up a reputation as a formidable fighter, with bags of heart, who always finds a way to win. For Groves, his belief that he was robbed the first time out (when the fight was stopped too quickly) means this is a must win occasion for him.

Education has masses in common with boxing. It is only recently that I have realised exactly how much. Essentially we are training children to acquire knowledge and skills and apply them throughout their life.
