Writing ideas for primary children

Using art as a writing stimulus is a great way to get children writing quality pieces of work. The recent release of the Monet app opens up a world of approx 800 paintings by one of the greatest artists who ever lived. You can access different types of pictures, or browse the vast library searching for what you are looking for. There is a painting that can be used for every text type and for every topic/theme you are looking for. It also allows you to expose your children to art they are unlikely to have seen before and to fit your literacy into your art curriculum.
